Who is the auxiliary?

The auxiliary is better known as "behind the scenes in the snack bar." There is a small team of volunteers who operate the snack bar at BYC's Gillespie Park and at the O’Donoghue Fieldhouse.

Why join the auxiliary?

The money raised through the auxiliary's efforts help to defray BYC's operating expenses. As a volunteer organization, we depend on our families and cannot succeed without your help. Our team of auxiliary volunteers enjoy helping to make the snack bar a fun experience for everyone.

We are always looking for volunteers. No experience necessary. 

This is not a full-time job or a lifetime commitment but it is important to the future of this extremely important resource. You do not have to feel like you're in this alone. The existing volunteers will show you the ropes and work out a schedule that works best for everyone. Responsibilities include opening and closing the snack bar as well as make food and work with the volunteers in the front of the snack bar to keep things running smoothly whenever we are open. We are in need of additional support and ask that you think about helping even if it's just for an hour or two when you can. We currently have volunteers who split shifts and it works out really well. We even have members who only work during certain sports.
